The Engraved Detail is extraordinary with Flowers, leaves, stems all done very discreetly and, difficult to photograph. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are simply outstanding. Dimensions: 9" Tall x 4 1/2" Diameter at the Base. The necks are also Decorated. 4 Silver Hallmarks including each is Numbered.

RARE Pair CHRISTOFLE 4 Branch CANDLESTICKS Napoléon III (1870) EXCEPTIONAL & Rare Pair of Original CHRISTOFLE solid Bronze & Silver Handmade XIXth Century CANDLESTICKS. Original & Complete. The detail is extraordinary with Masquerons and Engraving. The only other Pair I have seen in 30 years is in the Christofle Museum. Very heavy weighing approx. 6 lbs each. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are simply outstanding. Everything can be taken apart with the Center Sticks held to the Base with Handmade original Silver Bolts. Dimensions: 12" Tall x 5.0" Diameter at the base x 10 1/2" across the Bobèches. 4 Silver Hallmarks. Comes completely apart for cleaning, a good indication of the level of Quality Christofle employed in this Masterpiece 'Work of Art'. XIXth Century MASQUARON French Gilt Bronze CANDLESTICK Circa 1870 p Very finely detailed heavy solid Bronze Candlestick which has been gilded and handmade in the XIXth Century. There are 9 Masks or Masquarons, 3 around the Base, 3 in the Middle and 3 near the top. CANDLESTICK has its own, Original 'Bobeche' or drip guard. Overall detail is extraordinary with elaborate Wreaths (Napoléonic) + Mythological, Griffin Figures. The Gilding is still in good condition. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY overall are excellent considering age and use. |

Pair XIXth Century French Bronze Mythological Candlesticks Heavy pair of Exceptional Antique French Bronze CANDLESTICKS, Circa 1870. What is Rare is the Mythological style of this pair of Candlesticks. 2 Salamanders (considered mythical animals) which in themselves, represent a bronze Animal Sculpture on their own. Impression is that each is climbing on the Candlesticks. The Candlesticks Rests on 3 Legs & Feet which might be those of a 'Griffin', a mythological animal. DETAIL overall of the Bronze work is simply extraordinary. Cast in 1 piece, rare. Practical with Candles as well as conversation pieces. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are excellent. Pair 19th Century French Bronze PRICKETS, Cierges, Candlesticks Wonderful Antique heavy pair of French Bronze Prickets or Pique Cierges or CANDLESTICKS, Circa 1860. Prickets, a 15th Century English term for fixing Candles to a Point. What is unusual, Rare is that this pair were certainly from a Church and the Decoration on 1 side has the Hebrew name for 'Jesus'. Detail is extraordinary, with different Decor on each of the 3 Sides. Cherub or Angel Heads, Hebrew & Religious Bronze deoration. Wonderfully practical as well as a conversation piece. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are excellent considering age and use with no repairs, dings or dents to speak of. I have not cleaned nor polished them in some time. Overall simple, sobre detail is wonderful and reflects the 18th Century style & influence. I have not cleaned it, leaving it with a beautiful antique patina which has darkened because this Candlestick was used on the mantle of a Chimney in a Bedroom in a Chateau. I have not cleaned them, leaving them with a beautiful patina. At one time they may have been Gilded, as there appears to be traces of gold in areas that are protected, like the bottom. Bronze CANDLESTICKS French XIXth Century Pair of heavy, fine and unusual XIXth Century antique solid Bronze or Brass Candlesticks or "Chandeliers" with sliding and moveable ARMS to raise or lower the 2 sockets or 'candle holders'. The arms of each Candle Holder move as well, in all directions. The arms can be extended straight across or almost in any sense you like. The ends of each of the arms form the heads of mythical 'Griffens' in fine detail. Offers great flexiblity and decoration at the same time. Dimensions are: about 10.5" tall x 10" wide (when opened) and quite heavy weighing about 5.5lbs. |

German Secessionist Arts & Crafts CANDLESTICK or CHAMBERSTICK Incredibly fine example of the intriguing Jugendstil Arts & Crafts design from Germany, completely hand made Art Nouveau metalware from the turn of the last century. A very stylish Chamberstick or CANDLESTICK, by an unknown German craftsman. It measures 7.25" tall by 3.25" by 5.5" in diameter across the base, and has a subtle lighly hammered finish with a hammered design. It is quite heavy and in superb condition with no dents, damage or repairs. Stamped "GERMANY" on the base. |

Christofle Silver CHAMBERSTICK, Circa 1880 by Charles Christofle, founder RARE model of Chamberstick or Candle Holder, Candlestick or 'Bougeoir' in fine Silver plate Signed & Numbered on the bottom by "CHRISTOFLE" + "C * C" + "C Scales C" + 04"(see Photos). Everything is original. This is one of the first models made by Christofle. The chamberstick is heavy and the workmanship is very fine as can be seen from the wing nut which holds the piece together. (see Photos) Measurements are: about 6.5" long. Condition & Quality are excellent including the silver, with very minor surface scratches and wear and no nicks or dings. |

Fantastic CHANDELIER, Bronze Gilded French 1800's Rare, early XIXth Century solid Bronze 12 Branch (12 lights) Gold gilded CHANDELIER which has been expertly electrified so as not to detract from the originality of the Chandelier. The gilding and the bronze are in remarkably fine condition. All of the wiring has been discreetly mounted on the outside of each Branch and tied to the branch rather than pierce the Chandelier. All of the Drip guards or Bobèches have the most wonderful detail top and bottom, and are included as is the chain. Dimensions: 34.5" tall & 27.5" across.
