Dimensions 2 meters 91,cm x 2 meters 49, cm. For a Tapestry, this small size makes it that much more important. Detail, Color, Execution & Preservation are all exceptional.   IMPORTANT ORIGINAL large, Oil on Canvas by André LANSKOY (ANDREI MIKHAILOVICH or Andrei Michailowitsch) circa 1959-1960 in a contemporary painted French wood frame. Son of Count LANSKOY, André first studied in St. Petersburgh, Kiev, then in Paris and in 1921 he painted with Henri Matisse & Chaim Soutine. Along with Serge POLIAKOFF, Hans Heinrich Ernst HARTUNG, Maria Elena VIEIRA DA SILVA etc. he was in The Second School of Paris, 1940-1965. CONDITION & QUALITY are excellent.
