Important 20th Century Swedish Artist, Bengt Lindström was born in Storsjö Kapell (Sweden) in 1925. This fabulous colourful XXth Century Composition is Oil on Canvas and it is signed bottom left by Lindström + it is in the Artist's Original wood Frame. Prominent Reference in the Bible of French Art, E. Benezit Vol#6 at P. 676. His Works are found in Museums throughout the world. Dimensions: 46" high x 32" wide. Provenance: Jean-Philippe Courtois, Sale of the works of Mérodack Jeaneau from his Studio on his death, 1988. Alexis Mérodack-Jeaneau worked with Kandinsky & Archipenko. Italian inlaid Mosaic stone Painting or Sculpture, 3 dimensional 19th Century Pietra Dura hardstone picture of 4 white Turtle Doves resting on a stone Urn with handles and drinking water. This might be considered a copy of a famous Pietra Dura, entitled 'Doves of Pliny' which was found in the ruins of the Villa of Hadrian. Black background, extremely well framed in a carved black wood frame with black velvet liner. Mosaic picture is 4.25" x 6.25". CONDITION, WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are excellent.
